Hosting Policy

Service rules for Nexity shared web hosting.

This policy explains how shared hosting is provided, what clients are responsible for, and where Nexity support boundaries apply.

Last updated: 28 April 2026

Shared hosting service scope

Nexity shared hosting is intended for standard websites, business sites, content management systems, email use attached to hosting where applicable, and ordinary website traffic. Custom server-level work, non-standard applications, and high-risk workloads may require separate review or a different service.

Resource usage

Clients must use CPU, memory, storage, processes, traffic, email, databases, and other resources fairly and within the limits of the selected plan and supplier environment. Abusive or unstable usage may be limited, reviewed, upgraded, or suspended.

Backups

Backups may be available depending on the hosting plan and supplier configuration, but clients remain responsible for keeping their own important copies of websites, files, databases, and business-critical information.

Migrations

Migration assistance is handled carefully, but successful migration depends on access to the previous host, the condition of the website, DNS timing, third-party systems, malware status, and the accuracy of information supplied by the client.

Uptime and availability

Nexity aims to provide reliable hosting, but availability can be affected by maintenance, upstream providers, DNS, network events, software issues, client content, security incidents, and circumstances outside Nexity's reasonable control.

Client content responsibility

Clients are responsible for the legality, accuracy, licensing, security, and ongoing maintenance of their website content, themes, plugins, code, uploaded files, databases, and user data.

Email use on hosting accounts

Email included with hosting must not be used for spam, unsolicited bulk mailing, phishing, abuse, or activity that damages service reputation. Mail delivery is also affected by DNS, reputation, recipient servers, spam filtering, and client setup.

Security and malware

Clients must keep website software updated, protect passwords, avoid insecure plugins, and act quickly when security issues are reported. Nexity may suspend, isolate, clean, or request remediation where malware or compromise creates risk.

Suspension conditions

Hosting may be suspended or limited for non-payment, malware, spam, high resource usage, unlawful content, supplier instruction, security compromise, policy breach, or activity that affects other users or platform stability.

Support boundaries

Nexity support may assist with hosting, DNS, SSL, migration, mailbox setup, and platform access. Custom development, third-party plugin debugging, SEO, content writing, and external application repair may require separate quoting.
